This article discusses the 2018 Survey of Jews in Canada (in this collection), and notes that this survey was ignored in the United States. The author notes that, while American Jews have tended to view themselves as the "exemplary diaspora," reading the Canadian survey would make for an enlightening realization that the Canadian Jewish community is a thriving and resilient one, and is in some ways a more cohesive community than the American Jewish community.
