Abstract
An obituary for Albert Grossman, Grossman was the pioneering manager of such artists as Bob Dylan, Odetta, Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, Richie Havens, Gordon Lightfoot, Ian and Sylvia, Paul Butterfield, and many others. Along with George Wein, he organized the first Newport Folk Festival in 1959, which ushered in the dominance of folk music. He turned his attention to rock music in the 1960, managing artists such as Janis Joplin and Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Band. Click on the link above to read the obituary.
