Abstract

A biography of Henry Kissinger and description of his career whose service in various cabinet positions spanned ss many presidents. He has served as Secretary of State, national security advisor In 1973 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with Le Duc Tho of North Vietnam for their role in negotiating a conclusion to the War in Vietnam. He is also known for his diplomacy with the Soviet Union and China under President Richard Nixon and for his "shuttle diplomacy" after the Arab-Israeli War of 1973 and brokered the resumption of diplomatic relations between the United States and Egypt.
