Founded in 1918 by Albert Einstein, former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, and U.S. Supreme Court Justices Louis Brandeis and Felix Frankfurter, the purpose of the American Jewish Congress is to "defend Jewish interests at home and abroad through public policy, advocacy, legislation, and the courts." The Congress takes positions and advocates on behalf of national and international issues, primarily relating to Jewish interests. They also maintain a guide to political leaders and their positions with respect to Jews and Israel. Click on the link above to visit the homepage of the American Jewish Congress.en_US
