Abstract
Composed by Kurt Weill in 1938 after he had moved to the United States. The lyrics are by Maxwell Anderson. It was originally performed in the musical Knickerbocker Holiday for which Weill wrote the music. It has since been performed by many singers, in this case by Frank Sinatra.
