Abstract

Charles Entenmann, who died on February 24, 2022, was not Jewish, although Entenmann's baked goods were often served in Jewish homes and were considered "typically Jewish." According to this article in JTA, the Jewishness of Entenmann's reputation was no doubt enhanced by its having been certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.
