Abstract

The authors discuss the characteristics of the Jewish community in Canada. They note that a shit has been taking place in the way Canadian Jews identify with their Judaism. Canadian Jews, they argue, have been moving "from religious identification toward ethnic and cultural identification." Nevertheless, they contend that the community is not becoming assimilated, as some researchers anticipated and that it remains a cohesive community. Click on the link to read the article.
